The ironic thing about my story is that when I went to elementary school, I used to get bullied because I was too skinny and now here I am trying to loose weight. This made me so insecure that I used to wear multiple layers over each other to hide how skinny I was. I kept doing this through all my years of high school until the last year, where I decided that I was going to accept myself as I was and I stopped doing it. Once I got older I did gain some weight but I had never been heavier than 55 kilos.
People may give up on you, people may tell you that they don’t think you are capable of doing something or going somewhere. But you can never give up on yourself; you can never give up on your dreams. Because if you do, you will always wonder what If … in the end we always regret the chances that we didn’t take.
Don’t give up on your dreams
I decided to keep this blogpost simple, I think the photo’s speak for themselves. This is just an amazing location. If you haven’t read my previous blogpost yet, you can find it below this blogpost in the blog menu. I will end my blogpost with a message that one of my friends tagged me in on instagram. I saved it in my notes on my phone so I can always look back at it and remember this. I think it is a very good guide for living a happy life.
Living a happy life
At the end of our trip a very nice girl we met at our hotel told us to go to Viva Mare Hotel & Spa, she showed me a picture and I just knew I had to go there. When we walked up to the hotel I was already sold, it was huge and It look so amazing. The people who worked there where also very kind and helpful.
The church is built on a rock and you have to walk up 114 steps before getting at the top, it was really something, walking up al those stairs in the heat. But when I arrived at the top the view was so beautiful and so amazing. I felt so happy, it was totally worth it. It made me realize that I should leave all negativity in the past and focus on the beautiful things in life. So I want to share something with you that i’ve been carrying on my sleeve since that moment.
Today I decided to talk about something different than usual. This subject I want to talk to you about seems very simple, but at times I can be quite complicated. I am still in my mid twenties, so I still have a very long path to walk. But over the past two years I have been experiencing the benefits of loving myself and I can tell you it’s really amazing. It’s so amazing that I really want to share this with you guys.
Love really makes the world go round and I truly believe that love is the key to happiness.
As I told you in my previous blogpost I stayed at the Time to smile Meraki appartements in Molyvos. In the pictures you can see the gorgeous pool the apartment has, what I appreciate the most about it is that the owners maitain the pool with see salt instead of chlorine.
In Molyvos we stayed in the Time to smile Meraki apartments. The apartments were luxurious and comfortable. They have a modern kitchen, comfortable beds and a beautiful swimming pool at the front door. The apartment complex was run by a very sweet and welcoming family. They have made our stay more pleasant.
There are lovely palmtrees and flowers everywhere. I myself was totally in love with these pink flower plants.
On the way to Petra there was so much to see, beaches, mountains, trees and the ocean. We were so intensely happy and we really looked our eyes out. Because there were so many beautiful things to see, we stopped constantly to enjoy the view and to make some videos of it. Ultimately, we arrived three hours later to Petra.
After my trip to the Dominican Republic, I went to a beautiful Greek island called Lesvos, I stayed in the lovely village of Molyvos. My experience there was so awesome, I really feel like a new person. By that I mean more spiritual, more loving and more grateful for everything in my life. This I owe to the island but also to a new friend I made there.
Lesvos is a beautiful island consisting of mountains, hot springs, breathtaking beaches, pine forests and olive groves. From Lesvos you also have a view of Turkey.
